Behold, Illustration is undoubtedly a very poorly run course, very.

I'm rebelling also, that's the advice the careers advisor (not just a random one, THE art and design advisor) said. she was also pissed off and annoyed about the course also, which was unexpected, and also got inside info that many many students (largely 3rd years who don't know how to rebel, yet) had complained about many issue with the teachers themselves. So i have another appointment next week to get the lowdown of the illustrative world. gain info on the summer courses and that leaves me to do some portfolio work mwahahahaha. following this current plan gives me a chance to apply for the BIG jobs in january, and to think ALL the above was supposed to be done BY the tutors since first year ¬.¬

getting results doesn't really matter anymore now...

so stage one of ze rebellion: continue with the childrens book and don't take the hints from Nikki.

secondly: somehow force myself through printing, do some screen prints or something.

lastly, editorials: im soooooo going into the dark side with this one =^ - ^=

so i guess i am staying @ uni, until i can break out that is...

moving away from uni, i hear C&C3 is quite good, though it has EA splashed all over it i do need another RTS, the last one i bought was The Battle For Middle Earth O.o...................................wait that's EA also, they're like a virus.

I got a cold on saturday, which didn't help at all. and somehow managed to brave the force of the wind to get into Frankie and Benny's for my favourite meal - 12oz STEAK!!!!!!!

I also got easter eggs woot woot. and i gave my sister all of my NIN albums to make her steer away from the abomination that is Evanescence. she's looking more emo by the day >.>

if my cold has gone a bit tomorrow i might be able to do some campaigning, unless im not for monday XD.

ok, this sounds WIERD.

for a long time now we have a shitty internet connection due to bandwidth overload. ONLY to realise tonight at 3am that i was using the wrong router. i unplugged everything from our linksys router, and yet i was still connected to the internet. freaking out i managed to get a hold of myself and thought, hang on, i've been using another router which we hacked into to change the password on? i've downloaded animoo, played GW and talk on msn via unsuspectingly hacking another router. ell oh ell

so i reconnected going back onto our proper router. i think the rest of my housemates are using the other router also....

oh i also found Yu-Gi-Oh abriged to download ^ - ^

Guinea PIg Watch day 3. i finally got to feed Munchie and Bob some apple i had held between the cage bars, and everytime the pieces got smaller, making Munchie a lot braver. Munchie has come sooo far in the 3 days he's been here. and to get to know me better aswell it was fantastic ^-^. of course that all kind of got diluted by the appearance of a slightly tiffed off Bob, who stole an entire piece of apple straight out of Munchie's jaw. he was VERY jealous of the attention Munchie gained. Bob took one or two piece from me but i need to do more with him, which would be a lot more difficult cos he stays in the sleeping area for most of the day but i could feed him tomorrow since he's the first one up lol.

Uni has again been shunned to make way for T-Shirt stuff, got to finish off the rest of it and do some work for Illustration for Children soon =/

Day 2 of Guinea Pig watch and both Bob and Munchie are poking their heads out of the door. Bob hates using the stairs to the food bowl so he jumps up from the hole blocking the path from Munchie, who gets all squeeky about it. plus we can actually get close to them and talk without them freaking out, which is good progression so far, they just watch us hehe.

but we clean out their poop corner and lez made a bit of a mess, further contributed by Bob who shoved food everywhere...

also, happy belated birthday to Kay-Chan whos 21 in France atm.

Going into uni tomorrow to arrange a Careers dep meeting. this is because of rumours that have circulated around my course shifting from the creative hand made illustration to the graphics typographic illustration (ie - graphic design). and also to chase up if the support dep. has bothered to create the long awaited group tutorial session which they promised to give my news on. i also have concerns that the course has no designated slot in it's timetable to "truly" focus on professional practises, or have any modules based around a genuine professional brief used in the illustration business like they have in product design (they even had them modules during my GCSE course FFS)

Though i have been through school and college with art and design i am very bored of doing "creative things for the sake of it" type modules now, since getting a job in sainsburys etc is A. pointless for getting work in the illustration "world" and B. NO-ONE gets back to you. so i have been thinking of looking elsewhere that can expand my potential, or looking for places of work which according to uni all career development should have started at year one, which was very rarely implied on my course.

So it's a complicated situation atm :/ and puts a lot of stuff at risk. but i do want more to get out of doing an entire year of workchecks...

to cheer myself up, we get guinea pigs tomorrow (or today to be technical)

today is the day of bad luck, and by the power of 3 they came in very quick succession.

firstly, we woke to find a flood in our magical bathroom of wonderrrrrrr. then after a trip to jacksons and meeting vicky the landlady come round with a houseveiwing which i had no knowledge about, cue "OMG we didn't tidy the houes" mode. and after that, i dropped ALL the eggs used for the pancake party onto the kitchen side as i was cooking lunch, and to say jacksons didn't have any kitchen roll, i resorted to thye very toilet roll that saved the kitchen earlier from the flood (which made it's way to the kitchen also.)

now all is good agan, Transformers movie tonight, asda after that also.

design for the guild wars competition is going great :D

went to town to do a spot of shopping, bumped into Steve who directed me to the Final Fantasy 12 guide which i missed previously. then got random stuff from sainsburys and bumped into jordan also. the allestree bus was 15 mins late O.O and got home pretty hungry.

did a bit of dragon quest and checked out the extra stuff on the FEAR game. todays gone slow, probably because there's now sunday lunch today.

house spotting is getting worse also, and complicated.

Saw a house today just after Kay and Ruth left, once again, i drove home the bad karma Kay received with her memory card. the house, :S was a bit of a disapointment. ok it'll need renovating but i hope it DOES get renovated >.< then there the whole ash/placement thingy, must be hard for you...

however we do have more houses to look at, though the Mundy Street house is in the chavvy area near Nunnery, so im DEFINETLY skipping that one...

in the end i think staying put would be the better option...

ATM, Keiran o'Keefe and David Wells are currently (as i type this) oare on TOGETHER, ALONE in a BEDROOM on Most Haunted. ell oh ell

anyhooo left for birmingham, started badly cos unibus is shite....
got to my home town and went to Apple, drooled over the black macbook, told that u can also use the education buying system in store, wOOp! i might just go for the black mac and not upgrade, since it has more than enough for what i need.

then went to Nostalgia, lolled at the Sergeant Frog plushies and moved on, there wasn't anything new, i moved onto waterstones where is discovered a children's book about lonliness, which is exactly what i wanted for my project - to make a childrens book about lonliness :D.

then joined my class for the Central library session, which was pretty good. and seeing some awesome work for the Water Babies book :D

after that i headed to Wagamama (later on Lez and Kay got VERY jealous about it) and i had my favourite, Chicken Ramen :D

then walked aimlessly around HMV, bought Ladytrons current album (i downloaded it to try out and i was surprised) i came home and went into uni to see the rest of Monster Rancher for the anime soc and did a quick trip round ASDA,

all of that in 12 hours....

now Most Haunted is on again ^-^

i re-installed Windows XP today (that OS fails, i mean ONE adaware screwed it all up) now that's it's fresh and clean - NOD 32 made way for AVG it's such a relief now.

Tomorrow is a trip to birmingham as i am going round the library (joy ¬.¬) so im going early to look around Nostalgia and FP and also looking into the Apple shop to get the one-on-one lowdown of macbooks, and getting info from the staff, that actually outnumber customers...

as for the trip. Nicki didn't give out clear directions from New St. so it should a be a lol to find lost students walking around B'Ham. i miss my hometown :(

but yeah Windows is fixed :D.

ooooooooh and we can have Guinea Pigs in the house WOOOOOOOT.

The internet, humble little thing, not when something called bandwidth is concerned. ever since we got the NTL, our downloads have become very VERY slow. we have narrowed it down to ONE person who down;oads whilst away at uni, when the person is sleeping, it's 24-7

i have missed great things because of this WINTERSDAY, and now the CHINESE NEW YEAR on GW, i have nevwer got to witnes these events because someone won't take control of the internet they pay for and sort it out. peace needs to be disturbed!
